Canadian Mining

The Taku, Stikine, and Unuk watersheds are major salmon producers for Southeast and flow from Canada into Alaska. All three are threatened by large scale mines on the Canadaian side of the border, meaning Alaska bears nearly all the environmental risk and burden, with none of the economic reward
